This is a treasure chest for light. When it finds itself in the sunlight the 72 solar panels feed electricity into a central battery. When the sunlight goes away that electricity is slowly filtered back out to LEDs that shine at a sheet of nickel that’s at the heart of the box. I’m from the desert, and sometimes with those vast vistas you will see a thunderstorm so far away you can’t hear is sound but still watch the lightning jumping inside the cloud, moving in this complex, three denominational shape. As the sunlight, transformed, is re-released into the interior of the box it flashes like just such electrical storm.
